My role model

l have been recently thinking about what l am going to be doing when l go to Spain this year in april. Then out of no where Pablo Picasso jump into my head, for me this man is my roll model, l absolutly love his works and the way he incorporated his concepts into the works and in ways that were different. last year in my Visual Arts class l did a 6 page Visual texts, l did every period from blue period to his Synthetic Cubism period, and for me the blue period really attracted me to it, l loved the way he uses blueish clolours on his pallet, and shows the saddness and desperation in the artwork, and l took that idea and used it in one of my bodies of work and produced something similar. To conclude my little blog of gibberish about how much l love Picasso, l hope when l arrive to Spain that somehow l can fnd an art gallery that hold artworks of Pablo Picasso because l have never seen any of his works excluding pictures of them in class or on the computer.

Sass & Bide

The Sass & Bide for The Corner Shop collection is the result of an exclusive collaboration between denim designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton in association with boutique owner, Belinda Seper. The limited edition collection features three unique styles of jeans which were unveiled at an intimate cocktail reception at The Corner Shop's second flagship store in The Strand.
“We created this capsule range to reflect the sass & bide woman who seeks original and unique pieces. We have always admired The Corner Shop’s range of inspirational labels and believe it’s the perfect showcase for our exclusive range,” Sarah-Jane Clarke said.
The Vogue Australia fashion team, including editor Kirstie Clements and publisher Grant Pearce, were among the 80 guests whom attended the exclusive French-themed event. Guests were served Perrier Jouet Champagne and canapés whilst models sauntered around the store wearing the exclusive denim collection, teamed with sass & bide singlets flocked with French phrases.
The limited edition denim collection is available The Corner Shop until the end of December 2006

The Rolling Stones in the Park (1969)

It's only rock & roll

the ROLLING STONES for me they are great they have to be one of my favorite rock and roll bands out there, it might sound weird l only 17 and into 70's music but thats probably why im drawn to it. l was watching TV late at night and my best friend who is also a fan of rock & roll, messaged me telling me hat there was an interview of the rolling stone and l was not going to pass that opportunity to see them, so l changed the chanel and there they were, skelotons their cheek bones were caving inwards, they seemed half dead, l was suprised because l saw a videa clip of on of their songs and Mick Jgger is sprinting across a 50 meter stage at some what 70 years of age, l was affraid that he night brake a hip bones or somthing and how anyone lets them do this kind of stuff, and how he can even do it. What l recon is that it has to be the drive and love of Rock & roll they have, to them its the music and pleasing others and them selves Kieth Richards said he would rather die on stge then stay at home and die in his bed and l was like l agree with that, why would you wnat to stay at home and spend your last years doing somthing just waiting for 'that" day when you leave. Some how that interview, meerly and interview has inrpired me to live life and do as much as possible, and not let things that me down.........

ANDY wOmEn

If you havent notice but this is andy warhol dressed up as a women !suprise! lol well hs one of my favorite artist hes always has the coolest bodies of work out there with a fullness of life and meaning that flows out of it. especially form this body of work, they are portraits of him self dressing up as a lady and taking photos, l dont get it, l can work on ideas for my artwork and never come up with anything so cool as he comes up with, liek thw can of soup, and the screan printing of marylin manroe such easy and simple practice comes up to be ones of the best..... only if he was alive and a teacher l would hang off very word of his but oh well. when some day l will try and find some of his works that are in a museum or in a really rich person's house l will buy it and lavish over it. ciao ciao
